Wat Thangsai Temple

This beautiful temple on the mountain is only five minutes from the resort and is well worth a visit. The complex is dedicated to the King and Queen of Thailand and features a large golden sitting Buddha facing the Gulf greeting the sunrise each morning. Behind the golden Buddha are two 'Yak' giant demon guardians that feature in Thai folklore. At the top of the hill is the impressive temple which features nine pagodas, a great spot to admire the views as well as the traditional Thai architecture.
